donna

Donna Ables

Donna Ables was born and raised in West Monroe, LA. Right after graduating high school, Donna and Jeff were married and both committed their hearts to Christ soon after.  Within just a short time, Donna and Jeff answered the call into full-time ministry.

In 1986, they moved to Lafayette, to serve for eight years as youth pastors at Bethel Assembly of God Crossroads Cathedral. Their two children, Robin and Chase, were born in Lafayette and even when they moved away, Donna and Jeff thought of Lafayette as home. For seventeen years altogether, the Ables served as youth pastors in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Georgia. In 1999 they returned to Lafayette to become Lead Pastors of Crossroads Church.

Donna homeschooled her children from preschool through graduating high school.

Along with the other pastor’s wives from Crossroads, Donna leads the Joli Women’s Ministry. She is also very involved in small groups and serves on the MAPS Team. Donna loves reading and traveling, going to restaurants and movies, and hanging out with friends and family.

tara

Tara Baudoin

Tara Baudoin is married to David Baudoin, the executive pastor at Crossroads, and is the mom of three fun-loving girls, whose ages span 12 years. She graduated from UL with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and has been serving the Lord for 16 years.

Tara serves as marketing director for an oil service company in Lafayette, and is also a freelance graphic designer. She loves to create and recently began painting, which she says makes her more in awe of her Creator.

An evangelist at heart, Tara loves to share the Word of God with people and see them grow in their faith. She recently became the ladies’ Freedom ministry coordinator at Crossroads, a role she loves because she gets a front row seat to witness people moving past their past and moving toward Jesus.

In 2014, Tara was inspired to launch a billboard campaign sponsored by local businesses and individuals to share God’s Word in a huge way with the community. That campaign, under her management, is still active today.

Tara volunteers in KJAM children’s ministry at Crossroads, and is active in homeless outreach. She has a special burden for and is inspired by her Christian brothers and sisters who are persecuted for their faith around the world. After supporting the ministry of Voice of the Martyrs for over a decade, in 2015 Tara decided to volunteer as a “Church Voice” for the ministry, helping to share the message of our persecuted brothers and sisters with the local church.

Her favorite things include sharing the Gospel, spending time with her husband and daughters, learning new things and teaching them, apologetics, the beach, jogging, watching the sunset, and of course, cappuccino.

cyndi

Cyndi Burke

Cyndi Burke was born and grew up in New Mexico. Her family moved to Bossier City, Louisiana in 1979. After graduating high school, and a spending a year at LSU-Shreveport, Cyndi began volunteering for Teen Challenge, and soon found herself working fulltime at an emergency youth shelter. Cyndi spent the next 20+ years working with at-risk youth.

Cyndi accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a very young age, and has loved, served, and walked with Him ever since that time.

Cyndi has been married to Paul, the love of her life, for 25 years. Soon after they married, they went into full-time ministry. For 11 years they served three different churches as youth pastors. In 2003 they moved to Bayou Gauche, Louisiana, where, for the next 11 years, they served as the Lead Pastors of Life Fellowship Community Church. Cyndi and Paul came to Crossroads Church in July of 2014 to serve as the Discipleship pastors.

Cyndi is a big sports fan! She loves cheering for the LSU Tigers! Cyndi has always enjoyed playing sports, particularly baseball and basketball. Cyndi was actually one of the first girls in the state of New Mexico to be allowed to play Little League baseball with the boys! In more recent years, golf has become her favorite sport.

lauren

Lauren Dore

Lauren Dore is married to Pastor Beau Dore. Together, they have served as the student pastors for the Crossroads Church youth group, the Exchange, for the past two years. Lauren and Beau have four amazing children; twins Maddox and Zoe (7), Julian (4), and Ames (2). She has been married to Beau, her high school sweetheart, for 9 years.

Lauren was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. She lived on the same street her entire life growing up. Lauren attended UL and received her Bachelor degree in General Studies. After graduating, she worked for six years in accounting, then decided to stay at home with her four children.

Lauren has been saved for most of her life, receiving Christ as her savior at the young age of five. She recently had the opportunity to travel with the youth group to Romania for eleven days. Her favorite part of the trip was how open the people were to listen and how eager they were to receive love. Her recent trip has given her even a deeper desire to love on God’s people. She loved her trip to Romania and would love to take another trip soon, hopefully to Africa.

Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, having girl time and drinking coffee.

Two months later, her and her husband volunteered to work with the “tween” aged kids every Sunday night. Anna and her husband Marty were then asked, a year later, to teach class on Sunday mornings. She also served as Women’s Ministry leader for two years and was also the pastor’s secretary at this time. While all this was going on, hurt husband became the Children’s Pastor at Crossroads.

At this time, her husband’s secretary was leaving and God prompted her to take the position as his secretary. Anna has served alongside her husband as his secretary for the past 25 years. Together, they minister to kids from newborn, ages-12 years, Jr. leaders, 13-17 years, adult volunteers and even their parents. Her heart is full of love for every age.

When Anna is not working at church, she is busy ministering to all of the KJAM kids and leaders at their camps and vacations.
