At Crossroads Church, we value what God values. In His Word, God proclaims His love for each of us and acknowledges us as His sons and daughters.
Imagine that … We are daughters of the Most High King.
God delights in us, His daughters, joining together to celebrate Him and gain wisdom from one another (Titus 2:3-5). We should continuously lift one another up in prayer and encourage each other. The world tells us to do just the opposite, but God’s Word tells us differently. We need to stand arm-in-arm against the lies the world and the enemy throw at us, not be a part of it.
Through Joli, Crossroads Church’s women’s ministry, we create opportunities for women to realize their true calling and potential as daughters of God. Not only do we offer awesome fellowship through our events, but we also desire to provide ministry relevant to women of all ages and in all seasons of life.
Our blog was created to connect the women of Crossroads Church through daily readings and Bible studies. We’ve assembled a team of writers from all walks of life to relate to every woman. We can all learn from each other. It’s the way God designed it. We also encourage every woman to get involved in our small groups each semester. It’s a wonderful way to form godly friendships and to connect to with others.
If you would like more information about Joli or have any questions, feel free to contact Daphne by email at email@example.com.
And, let’s claim who we really are … beautiful (Fr. – Joli) daughters of the King.
Daphne Gaspard, Joli Women’s Ministry Director
Daphne earned her B.S. in education from Oral Roberts University. She taught school for many years before feeling the call to work alongside her husband, Richard, in the media department at Crossroads Church. Once there, Daphne discovered a passion for women’s ministry and began to use this passion to create opportunities for women to connect in such a large church. Her desire is to see women set free, live confidently, and truly grasp who they are in Christ so they can fulfill the call God has placed on their lives.
Daphne also serves on the worship team and is involved in the creative part of services, including the large productions of the church. She works hand-in-hand with local outreach programs, including Faith House, and New Life Center, and is always looking for opportunities for women to give and help in the community.
But, her greatest pride and joy are her two daughters, Kylie and Katie, and raising them up to be the young women God has called them to be.
Daphne enjoys date nights with her hubby of almost 20 years, girls’ nights, cooking, blogging, traveling, and running (she doesn’t really “enjoy” running, per say, but does it anyway).

Robin is a Southern gal who was raised in church, and at a young age she gave her life to Christ. During her two years of Master’s Commission, Robin felt the Lord leading her out of the plan she had carefully made for her life and into a life of missions work. In June of 2013, she traveled to Uganda, where she lived and worked for five months in a babies’ home, taking care of children who were abandoned, orphaned, HIV-positive, etc. Needless to say, Robin fell in love and is making plans to return to Uganda.
Robin’s passion is raising awareness of the suffering of others, and one way she does this is through her love and gift for writing. She kept a blog through her stay in Uganda, and she hopes to someday write a book about her experiences.
Robin loves books and coffee, especially together. She likes to sing at the top of her lungs in her car, although it doesn’t sound good and she has totally been caught by people she knows. Robin also loves movies, chocolate, traveling with her friends, and taking silly photos.

Karen is a wife, a mother (to a son, 4 dogs and a cat), a homeschool teacher, a busy funeral/wedding singer, a caretaker for an Aunt going through chemo/radiation, a women’s small group Bible study leader, a singer on the worship team, as well as, a maid, a cook and whatever else pops up on the list!

Karen enjoys being with her family, re-decorating projects, and encouraging others.
Dana has been married to Freddie for twenty years. After struggling through 6 painful years of “infertility”, they had their oldest daughter, Karli (13). It would seem that infertility was not the issue at all, rather it was God’s timing and they have since been blessed by God without any further medical intervention with three more children, Drake (11), Brant (9), and Aubree (4).
Dana graduated from Advanced Career Training in Jacksonville, Fl with a degree in Travel and Tourism and worked as a Travel Consultant until the birth of her children. She then got promoted to her dream job as a stay-at-home wife and mother. Dana is passionate about making her home a special haven for her family. She has also taken on the great privilege and joy of homeschooling her children since March of 2009.
Dana has recently rededicated her life to Christ and has been attending Crossroads Church for 3 years. She has been growing her relationship not only with God, but with her children, husband, family, and friends by seeking out God’s will for her life through prayer and the Word. She is blessed to have a front row seat to witness her children discover God’s role in their lives.
Dana enjoys bargain shopping, particularly “Good Will Hunting”, traveling, photography, blogging, reading, snuggling with the kids, and going to church.

Quylana grew up in Pennsylvania and came to Louisiana in 2008 to attend Master’s Commission. After completing her first year, she felt in her heart that Louisiana was to become her home. She loves the good southern hospitality and the food doesn’t hurt either. After being here for four years, Quylana can officially say she’s settled in. She works full-time in the facilities department at Crossroads Church, which has become her second home.
When Quylana is not at work, she enjoys the company of her friends … whether it’s going to the movies, a meal out, or just sitting on the couch talking (her favorite). But just like everyone else, she also delights in time to herself. She enjoys reading a book and having a cup of coffee or tea, writing, listening to a good playlist, or even enjoy going to the movies.
Jaclyn, born and raised in Florida, moved to Lafayette in 2007 to be a student at Crossroads Master’s Commission. After graduating in 2009, she married her best friend Michael Reale and they have been married for three years. They are expecting their first baby, a little girl named Audra Claire, this coming December. They quickly jumped into business, working together to operate their home improvement company. Recently, this past April, Jaclyn ventured out into a new adventure and opened a franchise restaurant called Cheeburger Cheeburger. She strives for God to be glorified in every aspect of both businesses and continues to be humbled by His provision and grace.
More than business, women’s ministry and discipleship are Jaclyn’s passion. She has a heart for ministering to women who have struggled with drugs, alcohol or any other type of life altering situation. She also continues to stay connected with XMC as an alumni and looks for any opportunity to share Christ’s love with those around her.
Jaclyn enjoys coffee, spending time with friends, reading, journaling and studying the Word. She loves to craft and do anything involving glitter. Jaclyn also enjoys running and has set a goal to run her first half marathon this year.
Tammy attended McNeese University for one year in her pursuit for a teaching degree. Early in her Sophomore year, her plans took a sudden turn, after becoming pregnant with her second child. She then decided that her skills, and her heart, belonged at home with her children.
Tammy has been married to her high school sweetheart, Frankie, for twenty two years. She spends most of her time managing her home, where she is the proud mother of two daughters, Amber (20) and Kaitlyn (16), and one son, Mason (11). God spoke into her heart last year as He brought her passion for teaching to life once again. Tammy has recently begun teaching her own children, as she is now a third year home-schooling mom for her two youngest. Her oldest daughter recently graduated from her second year of XMC with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Counseling. Tammy also spent a few years as an active member and lead vocalist for her church choir, and also taught children’s Sunday school classes. She now attends Crossroads Church with her family.
She is an aspiring writer, the editor for Joli Blog, and works part time at Crossroads Church on their Joli Womens Ministry’s planning team. She has discovered a love for women’s ministry and hopes to inspire other women to pursue God’s heart. One of her greatest joys is to bring laughter to those around her. Her deepest desire is to guide her children to live out their purpose in Christ and help others to discover His perfect love.
